Emotional Intelligence is defined as:

"A set of social and emotional skills that influence how we perceive and how we express ourselves; we develop and maintain social relationships; face problems and how we effectively use emotional information."

The Model

The EQ-i 2.0 model is based on the EQ-i model created by Dr. Reuven Bar-On, one of the most prestigious pioneers in the area of emotional intelligence. EQ-i means Emotional Quotient Inventory.



Why is Emotional Intelligence important?

EQ-i 2.0 measures emotional intelligence (EI) and how it impacts on individuals within their work.

Some applications for EQ-i 2.0 are:

• Personal or leadership development
• Selection
• Organizational development
• Executive coaching
• Team training and achievement
• Scholastic development

Although Emotional Intelligence by itself is not a predictor of development and achievement of human potential, it is proven that it is a key indicator. Emotional Intelligence is not a factor that remains static, quite the opposite, Emotional Intelligence can change through time and can be developed in specific areas.
